The trip from Faro to Évora can be made by BUS, TRAIN or CAR.
By BUS or TRAIN you must first go from the airport to the bus or train terminal station in Faro city.
You may do that by taxi, that will take you about 10 minutes and costs about €5, or using a local bus:
– local bus number 16, direction to “Atalaia/Terminal” – leave at the stop “Estação da CP” for train transport, or at the next stop named “Terminal” if you intend to travel by bus. This trip will take you about 25 minutes and the ticket costs €1.04 (purchased on the bus).
– local bus number 19, direction to “Terminal” – leave at the stop “Estação da CP” for train transport, or two stops after at “Terminal” if you intend to travel by bus. The trip duration is about 20 minutes and costs €1.04 (purchase the ticket on the bus)
If you intend to come directly to Évora after arriving, we recommend buying the ticket at the bus station. However, you may also purchase it previously online at the bus company website. Choose for departure “Faro” and for destination “Evora”. The trip will take about 4h15min and costs €17.

For small groups, it is possible to organize a private car or a minivan to pick you at the airport and take you to Évora (or opposite direction).
If you intend to come directly to Évora after arriving, we recommend you to buy the ticket at the train station. However, you may also purchase it online at the train company website.
Choose the route from “Faro” to “Evora”. Note that you will have to get out in “Pinhal Novo” to change trains, having to wait for about 15 minutes. The entire trip will take less than 3:30hrs and costs €29.30.

You should then pick a taxi or take the bus “rodoviária do alentejo” which costs 1€ and allow you to use the ticket for the entire day.
